Whether you enjoy walking, browsing shops and cafés, or going on days out with the family, you'll find plenty to see and do in Cumbria and the Lake District.

Near to Hawkshead, you have the villages of Coniston, Windermere and Ambleside and, slightly further afield, the likes of Grasmere and Keswick, each of which has its own unique charm. There's also plenty to occupy the outdoor enthusiast since the county is home to both England's highest mountain (Scafell Pike) and the country's longest lake (Windermere), as well as many other fells (hills) and lakes.
